“This is a 1300 stockcar that Revolver Remaps have come on board for the 2024 season in sponsoring me. It is full contact motorsport racing around ovals.”
“In the 2024 season I plan to race all over England, Scotland and we are planning on a trip to Ireland. It is a family commitment my Fiancé and my little boy come everywhere with me week in week out.”
How it all began
“I have been involved in oval racing from a very young age. My Dad used to to race along with my uncle so I grew up watching them. At the age of 13 I decided I wanted to race so Dad sorted me a go in a ministox at Aldershot in a superstar car after a meeting. Ended up crashing and writing the car off (whoooops). Dad had to buy the car lol. My Dad and my Brother Ryan Santry took me racing in my mini as and when I fancied it but it was mostly shale racing I was never competitive enough to race much tarmac.”
“I raced ministox until I was 16. I had some wins some crashes some rivalries but overall I was only average in a ministox never making it to a red grade. For my 16th birthday my Dad got me a 2l stockcar where I found them very difficult got disheartened and sold it a year later.”
“I had another go in a 2l stockcar, a couple of goes in a banger, but in general I had nearly 9 years away from racing the ovals, having a little dabble in karting in the mean time.”
The return
“It was in 2022 I got the itch back and decided to get back into oval racing buying a 1300 stockcar. The car I bought, my uncle (Steve Santry) actually built quite a few years ago now so I dropped it straight to him for him to rebuild it. It has been non stop since! Countless hours in the workshop with my mechanics, guidance and help from my father in law (George Boult) who I’d also not be able to race without. All nighters because the engine has blown up just to get out on track the next day. Some people don’t see or understand the commitment to get the cars on track most weekends, it’s a way of life.”
Making it happen
